A major shift has occurred in the number of Wisconsin members of General Church agencies.  During the 2008-2012 quadrennium, our annual conference had seven clergy and laity serving on the governing boards of  general agencies.  For the 2012-2016 quadrennium, it will be one.

General Conference 2012 took action which resulted in an overall reduction in those board memberships by half.  With the continued decline in membership in the NCJ conferences, it resulted in 25 positions be allocated to our jurisdiction to be filled.  Those 25 positions were proportionally divided by membership among the 10 NCJ annual conferences.  The Dakotas, MN, W MI and WI each had one position.  Detroit and N IL two each.  There were three allocated to each of the E OH, IL Great Rivers and IA conferences.  Four positions were allocated to both IN and W OH.

Being nominated from WI for election by the NCJ yet this week is Dan Dick to the General Board of Church and Society.

In addition, continuing on the NCJ Missions Council for a second quadrennium will be Lawrence McGuin.  Gail Burgess is being nominated to serve on that group for her first quadrennium.
